INFORMATION FROM DOJ WEBSITE
The California Department of Justice (DOJ) typically returns Live Scan results within 1 to 7 days. However, processing times can be longer, especially during peak periods or if there are issues with the fingerprints.
Factors that can affect processing time

Fingerprint quality: Poor quality fingerprints can delay results

Submission volume: High volumes of submissions can increase processing times

Incorrect data: Incorrect data on the Live Scan form can delay results

Criminal history: Criminal information in the applicant's record can delay results

Birthdate: Birthdates before 1920 can delay results
Please note that Giles M LiveScan does not receive or review your results. All inquiries regarding your fingerprint scan or results must be directed to the appropriate state regulatory agency at 916.210.3168 using your assigned Applicant Transaction Identifier
( ATI )

Do not contact Giles M LiveScan for status updates or results after your fingerprints have been submitted. We do not have access to the status of your background check.

Ensure all information provided (including the ORI number) is accurate. Once submitted to the DOJ the information cannot be altered, and processing will proceed as entered.
Refunds are not provided under any circumstances once your LiveScan has been submitted.

We can accommodate other cities for Livescan groups of over 20 people, as well as Notary Public services for your Estate planning with over 15 Signatures. Mobile and service Fees apply depending on your location.
